For instance, Denagamage Praboth Mahela de Silva Jayawardene was born on 27 May and went on to become the captain of the Sri Lankan cricket team for over five years. He’s often considered one of the very greats in modern cricket due to his incredible mastery of batting. This is reflected in the stats. He’s the only batsman to hit centuries in both the semifinal and final of World Cup matches. These took place in 2003 and 2011. Sadly though, they both came during a losing game.
