Advice 6:
You need a concrete plan of action. As challenges arise, it’s helpful to have a plan to refer to and to help you focus your mind on your long-term goals.
Before properly embarking on this journey, you need to make very clear what the long-term goals are. You need to ask yourself a few important questions: How fluent do you want your children to be? Who speaks what and when and where? How often will reading and writing in the minority language come into play? A plan to refer to will help you immeasurably.
