Interesting fact:

Custer County, South Dakota is home to an under-construction Crazy Horse memorial. In progress since 1948, the memorial will depict the Oglala Lakota warrior riding a horse, pointing to his tribal land. It was commissioned by Lakota elder Henry Standing Bear.
