In order to make one pound of chocolate it takes 400 cocoa beans. Each cacao tree produces nearly 2,500 beans and it takes 2-4 days to make a single serving. The process of chocolate making can be quite complicated, considering 30% of crops are lost each year due to the fragility of cacao trees.
