Popcorn is fun, tasty and sometimes sweet! It is a special type of corn and the only variety that actually pops. This is because inside each kernel of popcorn there is a bit of water which is surrounded by a hard shell called a hull. When the water inside it turns to steam, it builds up pressure, and guess what? It pops!
