Shirley Temple was considered for the role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. She was 10 at the time and a box office sensation. It can't be denied that Judy Garland's incredible singing voice was much stronger than Shirley Temple's, and that her Over the Rainbow became a classic for good reason!
