Whilst aeroplanes use their wings to fly, F1 cars use them in the opposite direction – to create downforce. The downforce created by these slick machines is said to be so high that at speeds over 150mph, they can be driven on the ceiling of a tunnel! Unsurprisingly, there haven’t been many drivers queueing up to get this theory a try.
