Interesting fact:

Tornadus is based on the Japanese god of wind, Fūjin. Portrayed in old paintings as a terrifying demon wizard with humanoid characteristics – his glowing green skin aside – Fūjin is often found wearing a leopard skin and carrying a large bag of winds on his back. He’s a mischievous being, responsible for a calm summer wind or a devastating hurricane. Tornadus is designed in a very similar manner to the god’s 17th-century depictions.
